and links to outside resources. The Argos Public Library serves both Green and Walnut Townships which includes the town of Argos in north central Indiana. We are easy to find, located on North Michigan Street in Argos. Audiobooks and eBooks: Argos Public Library is proud to offer our patrons best-selling and classic audiobooks and eBooks available to download 24/7 from the library's website, http://argos.lib.in.us. This service is free for library card holders who can check out and download digital media anytime, anywhere by visiting our website and clicking on the OverDrive link on our Home page. More information and HELP pages can be found on our home page below the OverDrive link. Titles will automatically expire at the end of the lending period. There are no late fees! Children’s Book Week Contest Guess how many books are in the Children’s Department of the Argos Public Library...that’s ALL the books upstairs!! Three children who come the closest will win a brand new book!! Go to the circulation desk for an entry blank. You may guess now until May 18. The winners will be notified on May 22 and we will post that amazing number then! GO AHEAD AND COUNT THEM ALL IF YOU CAN!!
WELCOME TO YOUR PUBLIC LIBRARY! DIG INTO READING, the 2013 summer program, offers a fun way to maintain skills learned at school. Each book read or listened to earns a chance for a weekly prize drawing. The sighting of the Pink Panther around town will earn a chance to dig for weekly treasures. Special programs planned include Ronald McDonald, Indiana Wild (animals), and Mr. Art, the Balloon Man! Make plans now to join us! Registration starts on May 28! We hope to see you and your family take advantage your public library!
Game Truck is a mobile trailer with several flat screen TVs that connect to Wii, Xbox and Playstation systems. A long couch spans one side of the trailer, while gaming screens line the opposite side for up to 16 players at one time. This is a super cool way to play your favorite games alongside friends. A Game Coach will be present to help players if needed. The library staff will choose the games that are available to play. With so many choices, everyone will be able to find a game they love! Plymouth Adult Basic Education is offering a Registration/Orientation on April 30th, 5:30 - 7:30 pm at the Argos Public Library, 142 N. Michigan St., Argos. Combined with web-based and instructor-led sessions, you will have the opportunity to pursue the education you deserve! Plan to attend the registration session to obtain more information, register, and take the first short assessment.
