The Argos Public Library serves both Green and Walnut Townships which includes the town of Argos in north central Indiana.
We are easy to find, located on North Michigan Street in Argos.
Audiobooks and eBooks:
Argos Public Library is proud to offer our patrons best-selling and classic audiobooks and eBooks available to download 24/7 from the library's website, http://argos.lib.in.us. This service is free for library card holders who can check out and download digital media anytime, anywhere by visiting our website and clicking on the OverDrive link on our Home page. More information and HELP pages can be found on our home page below the OverDrive link. Titles will automatically expire at the end of the lending period. There are no late fees! UPDATE ON HEALTH COVERAGE
WE NEED YOUR HELP!
Wednesday, November 6th at 1:30 pm, 7 individuals interested in
knitting, crochet, cross-stitch, quilting, or other types of
needlework met at the Argos Public Library and decided they will be
meeting on the first and third Wednesdays each month to work on
various projects and to show and tell projects they may have already
The meetings will take place in the Margaret Neff Meeting Room at
1:30 PM with stitching and visiting on the agenda. It is
not necessary to be an Argos Public Library patron to participate.
The "Needle Queens" will meet again on Dec. 4th and Dec 18th. -- all
interested persons are invited.
ARGOS PAGE TURNERS
The next meeting of the Argos Page Turners Book Discussion will be
held on December 5th at 6:30 PM in the Margaret Neff Meeting Room at
the library. Moderator for the group will be Barbara Brown
discussing Plain Truth by
Jodi Picoult. Books are available now for pickup at the
library. Light refreshments will be served. We hope

CALLING ALL BAKERS
The Friends of the Argos Public Library invite all "happy bakers" to
donate homemade Christmas cookies and candy for their annual Cookie
Walk on December 14th from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. The Cookie Walk will
be held in the Margaret Neff Meeting Room and donations will be
gratefully accepted at the library beginning Friday, Dec. 13th. A
cookie recipe booklet featuring many of these sweet treats will also
be available to purchase. If you would like to donate, please call
the library at 892-5818 to volunteer. If you would like your recipe
included in the booklet, please email it to
mail it to Monty Peden, 12662 SR 110, Rochester, IN 46575, or drop
it off at the library. Your participation is greatly appreciated.
If you are wanting to pursue your GED, this is the time to get onboard!
Plymouth Adult Basic Education is offering GED classes here at the Argos Public Library on Mondays from 10 am - 1 pm. Classes will meet in the Margaret Neff Meeting Room.
Combined with web-based and instructor-led sessions, you will have the opportunity to pursue the education you deserve!
